# Work that cannot be undone

> Running payroll and filing a return are final, and nothing here pretends otherwise.

Two capabilities are marked irreversible: **running payroll** and **filing a return**.

For these:
- No rollback is offered, because there is nothing honest to put behind the button.
- They are **never auto-approved**, at any trust level.
- The screen says plainly that they cannot be undone before you approve.

A correction is a new act — a correcting entry or a later payroll adjustment — not an undo. Presenting a fake undo would be worse than having none, because it would be believed.
