# The custom report builder

> Build a report from any data in the system — columns, filters, grouping and totals — then save and schedule it.

Reports → Custom.

Start from a data set (transactions, documents, contacts, items, time, journal lines), then choose columns, filters, grouping, sort order and totals. A live preview updates as you build.

**Filters** accept dates (absolute or rolling — "last quarter" re-evaluates each run), amounts, text, and any [Custom fields](https://intubu.intuitivecapital-dai.com/docs/custom-fields) you have defined.

**Grouping** to any depth with subtotals at each level.

**Saving:** a saved report keeps its definition, not its results, so it re-runs against current data. Share it with the company or keep it to yourself.
