# The customer portal

> A tokenised link where a customer can see their documents, download a statement and pay online.

Every customer can be given a portal link. It carries a token rather than a password, so there is no account for your customer to create.

**What they can do:** view their invoices, estimates and statements; download PDFs; accept or decline an estimate; and pay online by card or bank transfer.

**What you see:** Portal activity records every view, download, acceptance and payment — useful evidence when a customer says an invoice never arrived.

**Payments** made in the portal are applied to the invoice automatically and appear in the deposit like any other receipt.

Vendors get an equivalent view of their bills and remittances.
