# Proposals

> A rich document a client accepts online; acceptance creates the estimate and signs the attached contract in one step.

Sales → Proposals.

A proposal is more than a quote: content blocks (the pitch, the scope, the terms), a pricing table, an optional contract attached to it, and an expiry date. It is addressed to a client, or to a lead that is not a customer yet.

**Sending.** *Save & send* emails the client from your connected mailbox with an *Open the proposal* link to their own page (see [What your customer sees: accepting a proposal and signing a contract](https://intubu.intuitivecapital-dai.com/docs/customer-sign-pages)); it goes to the customer's email addresses, or the lead's. If no mailbox is connected, or there is no address, you are offered to mark it sent and copy the link to share yourself. Once sent, the list shows when it went out and whether it has been opened.

**Acceptance** is the point of the feature. When the client accepts online, or you *Record acceptance* with the typed name they signed with, one step creates an accepted estimate from the pricing table (so it can become the invoice; see [Estimates and quotes](https://intubu.intuitivecapital-dai.com/docs/estimates-to-invoice)) and signs the attached contract, if any (see [Contracts and e-signatures](https://intubu.intuitivecapital-dai.com/docs/sales-contracts)). A proposal addressed to a lead turns the lead into a customer. The acceptance record keeps the signer's typed name, a timestamp and the IP address.

**Statuses:** draft → sent → viewed → accepted, or expired once the expiry date passes. The client's page has no decline button — a client who does not want it simply does not accept.
