# Spreadsheet export

> A flat, machine-shaped version of any report for Excel or Google Sheets.

Any report can be fetched in a flat, un-nested shape suitable for a spreadsheet, at `/api/spreadsheet/{report}`.

**Why it differs from the on-screen report:** the screen shows a tree with sections and subtotals. A spreadsheet cannot pivot a tree. The export flattens it into rows and columns.

**Amounts are in whole currency units, not cents**, so spreadsheet arithmetic works without dividing everything by 100 first.

Combined with an API key, this is how you keep a live model in Excel or Sheets pointed at your real books.
