## How it works

OAuth 2. Each completed payroll imports as a journal: gross wages split by department or job, employer taxes, employee withholdings as liabilities, and the net-pay debit matched to the bank withdrawal. Job-level splits map onto our cost allocation, so one paycheque can land across several projects.

## Why it matters

Payroll journals entered by hand are wrong often enough that most bookkeepers just book the net and lose the whole employer-tax picture.
