Square Payments and IntuBu

Status: File import. Card present and card-not-present payments through Square.

How it works

File import only — a direct connection to Square is not built: nothing signs in to Square and payments, refunds and settlements are not pulled. Under Banking → Payment Platforms, set Square up with its deposit bank, fee and income accounts, then Import payouts by pasting each settlement's id, date, gross, fees, refunds and net (a JSON list). Each row must satisfy gross − fees − refunds = net or it is rejected; a payout id already imported is skipped. Posting books the net to the bank, fees to their own expense account, refunds to sales returns and the gross to income, and matches the deposit to the bank-feed line.

Why it matters

The same payout-not-charge rule as Stripe, for businesses that already run Square in the shop.
