Exporting to CSV

Every list and every report exports with one click, matching exactly what is on screen.

Every list has an Export button above its table, and every report has one beside its title.

What you get is what you are looking at — the same filters, the same date range and the same sort order as the screen in front of you. An export is not a separate query that might disagree with it.

The standard export is deliberately wide: it includes every field on the record, not only the columns the table happens to show, because the field you need is often one the list does not display. Trim it to the columns you actually want with Saved export layouts, and that becomes the default.

Money is exported as a plain decimal number, so a spreadsheet treats it as a number rather than text. Dates default to ISO (2026-03-04), which sorts correctly everywhere.

Reports keep their account hierarchy: the indentation is preserved by quoting, which stops a spreadsheet trimming it away and flattening the structure.

Files carry a byte-order mark so Excel opens accented names correctly instead of mangling them.

To choose which columns appear and in what order, see Saved export layouts.
