A live link to Excel, Power BI or Tableau (OData)
Your books are published as a read-only OData feed. Connect Excel, Power BI or Tableau with an API key as the password, and Refresh re-reads the live ledger.

A workbook connected to the feed refreshes from the live ledger, so there is no export to go stale. It is read-only, and it uses an API key as its password, so it sees exactly what that key's scopes allow.
How do I connect Excel?
- Press Create a read-only key and copy the key — it is shown once. It is set up with read access to accounting, sales, purchases and reports.
- In Excel: Data → Get Data → From Other Sources → From OData Feed, and paste the address shown on the tab (your IntuBu address followed by /api/odata), or one of the feed addresses below it.
- Choose Basic. User name: anything (for example, excel). Password: the API key.
- Pick the tables you want and Load. Refresh re-reads the books whenever you like.
Power BI: Get Data → OData feed → Basic, with the same address and key. Tableau: Connect → OData → Username and Password.
What is in the feed. Lists — Accounts, JournalLines (general ledger lines), Classes, Customers, Invoices, SalesDocuments, PaymentsReceived, Vendors, Bills, PurchaseDocuments, PaymentsMade, Items and Projects — and reports — ProfitAndLoss, BalanceSheet, CashFlow, TrialBalance, AgedReceivables and AgedPayables. A report takes its period on the address, for example ProfitAndLoss?from=2026-01-01&to=2026-12-31, or TrialBalance?to=2026-12-31; add basis=cash for cash basis. The tab lists the common ones with a Copy button. Amounts are in currency units, not cents.
What it shows depends on the key. Each feed needs the matching read scope — reports need read:reports, customers and invoices read:sales, and so on — and the feed list only offers what the key can read. Bank details, tax IDs and payroll personal data are on no feed. Revoking the key cuts the link off at once. See API keys.
Large tables come in pages of 1,000 rows, which Excel and Power BI follow on their own.
