Desktop & Sync: what it does today

There is no IntuBu desktop app or offline mode today. The Desktop & Sync pages review and apply a change list against the cloud books and keep a receipt of each session.

Desktop & Sync → Sync status.

Plainly: IntuBu is a web application and there is no desktop app or offline mode. It needs a connection to work, and nothing is kept on your computer to work from while offline. (Some text on the Sync screens still describes a desktop app; it does not exist yet.)

What the Sync pages do. They take a list of changes made elsewhere, compare it with the books and apply what you approve — see Sync review. Sync status shows how many changes have been applied to the books, and the sessions that have been pushed. History lists each sync session with when it ran, how many changes were applied and any that failed, with the reason.

If you work somewhere with an unreliable connection, keep notes and enter the work when you are back online; the books, bank feeds, payments and email all need the connection.
