The service dashboard, profitability and warranty claims
Today at a glance — visits, unassigned, in progress, emergencies, SLA breaches, PM due, warranties expiring — plus per-order profitability and claims against vendors.
Service → Dashboard; Service → Profitability; Service → Claims.
The dashboard counts the day's work: visits today, unassigned orders (waiting for a technician and a time), in progress, emergencies open, orders completed and billable but not yet invoiced, SLA breaches, preventive maintenance due in the next 14 days, warranties expiring within 30 days, open warranty claims, technicians and active contracts. Each tile opens the list behind it. New service order starts one from here.
Profitability shows, per completed order, what was billed against what it really cost — labour at the technician's burdened cost, parts at their inventory cost, travel — and the margin. A warranty-covered part bills $0 but keeps its cost, so a job under warranty shows its true margin rather than a flattering one.
Warranty claims are raised automatically when a covered part is used on a job: a claim against the part's vendor for its cost, with the equipment, order and part on it. Track them from open to submitted to credited; a credit received posts as a vendor credit. See Customer equipment and warranty and Service orders and the dispatch board.
