Recurring journal entries
The same journal every period, posted automatically or held as a reminder.
Accounting → Recurring journals.
Define the entry once with its lines, choose a frequency (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually), and IntuBu creates it each period.
Modes: Automatic posts on the schedule. Reminder creates a task instead, for entries where the amount changes each time.
Validation: the template must balance — debits equal credits — before it can be saved. It is checked again on every posting, so a template can never create an unbalanced entry.
Auto-reversal: tick Auto-reverse and each occurrence schedules its own reversal a day later (configurable). This is the standard accrual pattern: estimate at month-end, back it out on day one, let the real invoice land without double-counting.
Ending it: set an end date, a number of occurrences, or simply switch it off.
