Projects and job costing

Attach income and cost to a project at header or line level and see real margin.

Projects → All projects.

Assigning: every document has a Project field on the header, and each line can carry its own — so one bill can be split across several jobs.

Profitability: income (invoiced lines tagged to the project) minus direct costs (bills, expenses and inventory tagged to it) minus labour (hours × the employee's burdened cost rate).

Budgets: by category or as a total, with a threshold that notifies you when consumption passes it.

Unbilled: time and expenses not yet invoiced are shown separately, and Create invoice pulls them in with any markup.

With the Construction pack on, projects are called Jobs and gain cost codes, AIA progress billing, retainage and WIP.
